ÇEVRE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE FIRST SETTLEMENT ÇATALHÖYÜK
Our trip to Çatalhöyük, which we organized in order to reinforce the course topics acquired by our 9th grade students in history and literature lessons and to increase their interest in the lesson was carried out successfully.
Our students had the opportunity to see Çatalhöyük, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. They also visited the first architectural settlement, saw the first landscape painting, original findings such as the cult of the mother goddess and works of faith dating back about 9000 years
Our students, who visited Karatay Madrasa, Sırçalı Madrasa, Konya Archeology Museum and Mevlana Museum in Konya Center had a different experience with the sema ceremony they attended at the Mevlana Cultural Center at the end of the second day.
On the last day of our trip, our students visited the historical streets of the city of Sille, which reflect the cultural richness of our country and the Hagia Eleni Church. The last stop of our trip was Akşehir, which Nasreddin Hodja, who is world-renowned for his unique philosophy and sense of humor, described as the middle of the world.
At the end of this intense and enjoyable trip, Çevre High School students became aware of the historical artifacts belonging to different periods and cultures in the country they live in and became conscious of protecting the cultural heritage.
