ISTA DRAMA FESTIVAL 2023

On March 2nd to 5th12 Çevre College high school students from 9th, 10th and 11th grades took part in the International School of Theater Association (ISTA) Festival in Portugal at Carlucci American International School of Lisbon. The students had a chance to interact with students from Spain, Catalunya, Hague and France. They spent four days working with professional ISTA artists with expertise in music, theater, directing, and dancing skills that help enhance their confidence, sense of critical thinking, creativity, and expression. At the end of these intense 4 days, they performed an amazing show with the theme of ‘The Blood of the City’ inspired by the young Portuguese poet Alice Neto de Sousa. The students got to work on the concept of what it means to be free and what freedom for them is. The festival ended with many tears and new friendships made extending to all over the world.
