Çevre College in the Balkans

Between November 12 and 15, our 7th and 8th grade students embarked on a cultural journey titled “Following Atatürk’s Footsteps in the Balkans.” The trip covered Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Greece, with visits to Sofia, Skopje, Ohrid, Bitola, Thessaloniki, and Kavala. During the journey, our students reinforced their knowledge of the History of the Turkish Revolution while tracing the footsteps of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk — the founder of our Republic. They explored landmarks significant to both Turkish and world history and observed the lasting influence of the Ottoman Empire in the region. This meaningful experience strengthened their historical awareness and sense of cultural connection.
