Şile Survivor Camp - 19-20 May, 2018
Fifty-six of our 6th grade students participated in a weekend getaway titled ‘Şile Survivor Camp’ held in Şile. This camp was geared towards building friendships, solidifying relationships, strengthening communication skills and team building all in an English speaking environment. The list of benefits to a camp are endless as it also gives students an oppportunity to improve their self reliance and confidence. It provides them with an opportunity to resolve conflicts among their peers while fostering cooperation.
The camp’s activities ranged from a nature walk through the Sakligöl’s forest, a plant hunt that included photos of different species of plants, football, volleyball, a sack race, a fill the bucket race , and tug of war.
Students fell in love with the general ambience of the accomodation and looked forward to the weekend’s activities full of vigor and enthusiasm. All in all students enjoyed themselves and returned feeling renewed, refreshed and relaxed.
