Çevre College in the Balkans

Between November 12 and 15, our 7th and 8th grade students embarked on a cultural journey titled “Following Atatürk’s Footsteps in the Balkans.” The trip covered Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Greece, with visits to Sofia, Skopje, Ohrid, Bitola, Thessaloniki, and Kavala.

ECO TEAM IN ACTION

Our 3rd grade student, Derin Demirhan, won first place in the rope event in the 2017 A category at the Ocaq Cup Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, between October 30 and November 2.

Third Place in Turkey in the Painting Competition

As part of the October 29th Republic Day celebrations, Antalya Aquarium organized a nationwide painting competition titled “If I Were a Fish.” A total of 4,000 students participated in the competition

Çevre College 8th grade students, together with their teachers, participated in a field trip on Wednesday, October 22nd, to the Hisart Live History Museum and the Harbiye Military History Museum, which is located in the building where Atatürk pursued his higher education.

October 6 – Commemoration of Istanbul’s Liberation

On October 6, we proudly observed the 102nd anniversary of Istanbul’s liberation from enemy occupation with a meaningful ceremony at our school. During the program, our students recited poems and delivered readings that emphasized the importance of this historic day.

Çevre College began the 2025–2026 academic year with great excitement. The ceremony commenced with our 1st grade students entering the ceremony area accompanied by our 12th grade students. Following a moment of silence and the National Anthem, our General Director, Ms. Şebnem Gönen, delivered the opening speech. The program continued with a performance by our 5th grade student choir and concluded with heartfelt speeches from Mehmet Can Balcı, a 2025 graduate, and Arhan Tuna Başak, one of our 9th grade students.

Children of Türkiye’s Century

Students Ceylin Erdoğan, Berrak Onur, Metehan Apaydın, Hasan Demir Peker, and Nilay Güller, who achieved outstanding success by scoring a perfect 500 points in the High School Entrance Exam (LGS), attended the “Century of Türkiye – 2025 LGS Türkiye Champions” program, with the participation of Istanbul Governor Mr. Davut Gül. We wholeheartedly share the well-deserved pride and happiness of our students, who reaped the rewards of a year of intense effort with their remarkable results, and we wish all our graduates success in their high school years.

The Middle School closing ceremony was successfully held on Thursday, June 19, in the conference hall of our school. Following a speech by our General Manager, Mrs. Şebnem Gönen, the audience enjoyed a series of impressive performances, including dance, music, song, and drama — all meticulously prepared by our students.

Tales Mathematics Museum

We visited the Tales Mathematics Museum in Aydın with our 6th-grade students. Our students had the opportunity to observe how mathematics is present in every aspect of life and to experience its abstract concepts through concrete activities.

Space Camp

On 13-15th June 2025 we organized a school trip to İzmir Space Camp with our 6th graders. Under the motto "Future Leaders Are Born Here”, space camp presented everything that our students are curious about to experience.

PRIMARY SCHOOL MAY-JUNE LIFELONG LEARNING ACTIVITIES

Within the scope of the “Lifelong Learning Projects”, our primary school students completed all the activities they had planned throughout the year with the work they did in May and June and developed essential life skills.

Çevre College Art Night

Çevre College’s music, dance, drama, gymnastics groups, and music teams showcased the performances they had been preparing throughout the year at the annual Çevre College Art Night, held this year under the “Show Night” concept at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage.

Earth’s Climate Day Walk!

To celebrate Earth’s Climate Day, our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade Eco-Team students organized a special walk as part of the Eco-Schools Programme. Our General Manager, Ms. Şebnem Gönen, shared inspiring information about climate change with our students.

SASMO MATHEMATICS COMPETITION

The SASMO (Singapore & Asian Schools Math Olympiad) exam, which aims to develop students‘ problem-solving skills and promote mathematics as a universal language, was held at our school on March 11, 2025.

Elements of National Culture

On May 22–23, our 4th grade students participated in an educational and enjoyable field trip to the Sadberk Hanım Museum, accompanied by their classroom teachers. The visit was organized as part of the Turkish curriculum under the topic “Elements of National Culture.” During the trip, our students had the opportunity to observe and explore various cultural artifacts, helping them to understand and value our national heritage. It was a highly enriching experience that combined learning with fun.
