Trip to Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden (NGBB)
An expedition trip to the Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden is organized every year with our Çevre Secondary School students. Our students accompanied by the guide on the trip around the garden which is spread over an area of 500 acres and learn the names of plants cultivated in the Botanical Garden, their habitats, uses in the pharmaceutical industry and features. Different types of trees such as silver linden, eucalyptus, Ginkgo Biloba, prickly cedar and redwood can be seen in the Botanical Garden. Our students have the opportunity to remember and enhance the knowledge they have learned in the science course curriculum in this environment dominated by naturalism.
In the Botanical Garden, there are examples of plant species that spread in different parts of the world. In the Botanical Garden, where some species are grown in a greenhouse environment by natural methods, there are species such as coastal redwood, ginkgo biloba, carnivorous plant, noli-me-tangere (mimosa pudica), eucalyptus, red cedar and echinacea. At the end of the trip, our students complete the trip by playing the “Adventure Game”.
