Elephants and Their Babies

“Elephants and their babies’’ topic –  one of the units of Gems was done in Kindergarten Prep Classes ‘ Programme. Students learned where elephants live, how they eat, for which purposes they use their trunks and ears, and the size of their tusks. We played games about elephant families.We compared the height of an elephant and its tusks with our own height. We also compared elephants’ feet with our own feet. We learned how elephants communicate with each other by brainstorming about why they love water so much. This activity was done in cooperation with science and maths activities in our unit.
