“World Auction” with Toronto University

Çevre High school students joined “World Auction”; a virtual activity led by Toronto University on June 9th. They had a hypothetical planet which has not been altered anthropogenically, then they were given 1000$ to bid on the available resources in order to make their planet inhabitable for humans. Since the most important resources were food security, clean fresh water, and housing, they bid highest to these but it was very competitive! Although they didn’t always get what they wished for, it was fun to design a planet from scratch.
