CEMC Success
The Pascal and Cayley Mathematics Contests, organized annually in February by the Mathematics and Computer Science Department of the University of Waterloo in Canada for different age groups, were administered at Çevre High School on the same day as schools around the world in 2026 under the leadership of Çevre High School Mathematics Teacher Efsun Gündüzay.
According to the results of the tests, which were taken by more than 16,000 students in over 750 schools worldwide:
In the CEMC Waterloo competition, which 23 of our students participated in and which was scored out of 150 points:
- Naz Ihlamur, from Grade 9, received a medal in the Pascal Contest with a score of 133.
- Mehmet Onur Can, from Grade 10, received a medal in the Cayley Contest with a score of 114.
- Mehmet Doruk Yıldırım, from Grade 11, received a medal in the Fermat Contest with a score of 112.
In addition, a total of 10 of our students earned Distinction Certificates.
