Çevre High School is at the European Nuclear Research Center CERN
The "CERN Trip" organized by the High School Science Department was held between 26-30 January 2024. Our students had the chance to observe on-site the work carried out at CERN, one of the most important research laboratories in the world.
While our students were informed about the world-famous experiments carried out at CERN in the light of the important information given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Köse, they also learned a lot about the studies carried out so far.
After the activities held at CERN, Çevre High School students continued their trip with city tours. Our students, who took a tour of Geneva, had the chance to see structures such as Lake Geneva, the United Nations Building, the Mont Blanc Bridge, and the Great Cathedral. In the second part of the CERN trip, our students moved on to Paris, where they visited Sorbonne University during the city tour. Afterwards, they climbed the Eiffel Tower to see the city from a bird's eye view and learned historical information about important structures such as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Opera House, the Pantheon, and the Grand Palais. At our next stop, Disneyland, they had a fun day getting acquainted with Disney's colorful world. On the last day in Paris, our students took a boat tour on the Seine River, visited Sacre Coeur, explored Montmartre, and completed the trip with great pleasure.
